Christine Ann Marchetti

Family law is my passion. This isn’t a job for me, this is my calling. Realizing that you need the assistance of a family lawyer is both stressful and overwhelming. It often means your world has forever shifted, leaving an uncertain path forward. My focus is on how I can help my clients through their unique situations and support them through the numerous questions and uncertainties that can arise.

I understand and respect that every family’s needs, values, and priorities are different and there is no one-size-fits all solution. Beyond all of the skills and experience I’ve earned since graduating from The University of Western Ontario Law School in 2004, the most valuable skill I have honed is my ability really listen to my clients to understand what their goals and vision are as they navigate through their life-changing situations.

I’ve worked on complex files with trust claims, complicated family business structures, and multiple divisible assets. I have appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court of Appeal, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Over the years, clients have sought me out to assist them with challenging parenting issues. I have built my reputation on a practical, reasonable, and problem-solving approach.  I also understand that for most families, litigation isn’t the best solution, and I am deeply committed to alternative dispute resolution processes.

I’m particularly passionate about parenting issues, collaborative practice (where I feel the interest-based approach to conflict resolution can offer long-lasting results for families) and mediation.  In 2023, I was accredited as a family mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation.

I was called to the Ontario Bar in 2005 and since 2006, I have practised exclusively in family law. The decision to open my own practice in 2019 was made with the desire to support clients in the GTA/Toronto and Halton/Hamilton areas with my passionate and professional approach to family law.

My client relationships are what drives me each and every day. My clients trust me with the most important aspects of their lives, and each day I work hard to live up to that honour. Settling issues that arise from a breakdown in a relationship shouldn’t destroy you. My focus is to help you to reach a resolution with dignity, respect and the confidence that there are better days ahead.

Our Team

Katie Conway

Katie approaches all family law issues with compassion and seeks to find practical solutions to issues that arise after separation.

She developed an interest in family law during her first year of law school at the University of Toronto, when she volunteered to accompany survivors of domestic violence to family court. Following this experience, she decided to pursue a career in family law after volunteering as a family law caseworker at Downtown Legal Services, where she represented clients in family law matters.

She has practiced family law since her Call to the Bar in 2018. She has helped clients resolve their family law matters through litigation, mediation, and negotiation. She has assisted senior counsel on complex parenting and financial disputes. During her articling year, she worked on appellate litigation at all levels of Court, including the Supreme Court of Canada.

She possesses unique experience with child and spousal support enforcement and the Family Responsibility Office. Prior to entering private practice, she summered and articled for the Family Responsibility Office and litigated enforcement matters throughout Ontario. She utilizes this experience to assist both payors and recipients in navigating issues with the Family Responsibility Office.

Before attending law school, she obtained a Masters of Arts in Economics from Queen’s University. Due to her academic background, she is adept at untangling complicated financial issues.

Outside of work, she enjoys hockey and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, watching bad movies, and reading. She is an involved alumnus of Massey College at the University of Toronto.

Monica M.

Monica graduated from Sheridan College with a Paralegal Diploma (highest standing honours) in 2010 and began working as a law clerk in the same year. In 2012 she began working in family law and has worked exclusively in the field since that time.

She is an advocate for families with special needs children and has extensive special needs training.

She makes her clients feel at ease during a challenging time in their lives. She makes the collection of disclosure and the completion of financial statements easier, and her excellent organization, communication, and drafting skills are an asset on any file. Her warm and friendly nature makes it easy for clients to work with her and to trust her with their personal information.

She is passionate about family law. She finds great satisfaction in helping clients, and in seeing a file through to completion. She takes great pride in her work and in being a member of the Marchetti Family Law team.

Aneesha Luthra

Aneesha is a passionate and dedicated family law lawyer committed to supporting families during some of life’s most challenging moments. With a deep understanding of the complexities of family dynamics and the legal system, she specializes in divorce, decision-making and parenting matters, support issues, and property division. Her approach is compassionate and personalized, focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes while minimizing conflict and safeguarding the well-being of children. She works closely with her clients to empower them, formulating strategies tailored to their unique goals and needs. Outside of work, she enjoys walking, cooking, and spending time with family.

Whitney Evans

Whitney has practiced family law since her Call to the Ontario Bar in 2024. She became interested in family law during her graduate studies, wherein her major research project investigated matrimonial real property law as it pertained to First Nations peoples. During law school at the University of Windsor, her interest in family law grew through her participation in the Walsh Family Law Moot, where her team won Best Respondent Factum. As an articling student at the Windsor-Essex Bilingual Legal Clinic, she supported low-income community members in crisis and provided representation before various administrative tribunals. There, she observed how intersectional family law is as an area of law and decided that she wanted to advance her career in this area.

Prior to law school, Whitney obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and French from McMaster University (2014) and a Master of Arts degree from Brock University (2015). She also previously worked as a manager of a full-service fitness franchise, master trainer of group fitness, and personal trainer. Her experience serves her well in building rapport with clients, understanding their goals and needs, and researching complex issues.

Outside of the office, you can find Whitney at a CrossFit class, scoping out live music, or plotting her next dad joke to tell at our staff meetings.

Beverly Orr

Beverley Orr

Beverly has been with Marchetti Family Law since 2023 as a family clerk. She has worked in the legal industry for over 30 years in civil litigation, and wills and estate, before settling into family law for the past 7 years. Beverly completed her Paralegal licence in 2008. Beverly is very compassionate with our clients in assisting them through their current circumstances and guiding them through the initial process of gathering disclosure and helping them in any way that she can. Outside of the office, Beverly enjoys spending time with her pups, dressing up on Halloween and spending time with her family.

Kelly Lehto

Kelly graduated from Mohawk College with an Office Administration – Legal Diploma in 2000 and began working as a legal assistant/office administrator in family law that same year. Kelly is dedicated to managing the daily operations of the office and ensuring things run smoothly and efficiently so that everyone has the support they need. Kelly’s warm and friendly nature makes it easy for clients to work with her and to trust her with their confidential information. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her family.
